Since 1998, Skål International Istanbul has been organizing the quality awards under the name ‘SKÅLITE Awards’ recognizing the companies and individuals of that year based on their contribution to 'quality' for local and international tourism.

2021 was a challenging year to our wonderful industry. As Victor Hugo said “Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise”, we truly believe that 2022 will be the rebirth of Tourism all over the world…

Based on this concept, for ‘SKÅLITE’21 Awards’ we have selected the longest night of the year, Dec 21, 2021 with the concept; “From the longest darkness to the light…”

2021 SKÅLITE Awards were given to our Club Members who have 25-30 years of membership in our club and contributed to the 'Quality in Tourism' under the umbrella of Skål International Istanbul.

In addition to the awards given to the 33 qualified members, we are honored to present three special awards to:

• Burcin Turkkan – The President of Skål International 2022.

• Mete Gazoz – 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games Archery Champion.

• Busenaz Surmeneli – 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games Boxing Champion.

The Awards Ceremony took place in the beautiful roof terrace of Intercontinental Istanbul overlooking the Bosphorus connecting two continents, Asia & Europe… where East meets with West…
